Petr Cech Accuses Arsenal Make a Mistake so Leicester Punishes
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech (35), commenting on his team’s 4-3 victory over Leicester City in the Premier League match at Emirates Stadium, London, Friday (11/08/2017).
Arsenal goals scored by Alexandre Lacazette (2nd minute), Danny Welbeck (45 + 2 ‘), Aaron Ramsey (83’), and Olivier Giroud (85 ‘).
The Leicester City goal came from Shinji Okazaki (5 ‘) and Jamie Vardy (29’, 56 ‘).
“We started the game very well and I think we are in control of the game,” Petr Cech told Sky Sports.
“Then, we made a mistake and they punished us,” Cech said.
The 196 cm goalkeeper was satisfied to secure three points from Leicester.
“There were a number of difficult moments when we were left behind,” Cech said.
“However, we were able to rise, it was good to be able to close the match with victory,” said Cech.
Cech has homework to lead the Arsenal defense.
As the goalkeeper with the sixth highest number of rescues (95) in the Premier League last season, Cech is the Gunners’ last-ditch line-up hope, following Per Mertesacker (injury) and Laurent Koscielny (card accumulation) absence.
